Program Overview

This series guides city practitioners and park advocates through the process of transforming underutilized lands into vibrant public spaces by building cross-sector partnerships. These sessions will explore strategies for identifying land opportunities, aligning around shared values, navigating land use complexities, and activating spaces with community-driven programming.

We’re excited to offer two ways to participate in our Communities of Practice sessions.

Option 1: Webinar (1 hour)
Gain insights and practical knowledge during a 1-hour webinar led by subject matter experts and city practitioners. Webinars are a one-time commitment, and you can register up to 1 month before the session date.

Option 2: Extended Learning and Exchange (1.5 Hours)
Are you a city practitioner or park advocate exploring or currently working to create parks or green spaces on non-park land?
Join our committed workshop series designed for those actively exploring or developing parks in unconventional spaces. Each session includes a 1-hour webinar followed by 30 minutes of interactive peer exchange, working group activities, and small group discussions.
